Emergency Closing Information

2019-2020 School Year

Our message alert system is "School Messenger Communicate".  School Messenger will be utilized for all school emergency closings/delayed openings and any other important messages to parents and school staff.  Parent/Guardians - Please keep your contact information up-to-date.

Emergency information will continue to be available through the following resources:

Closings will be posted on the following TV stations:

69 News - WFMZ - Channel 257 for Comcast customers and Channel 508 for Service Electric Customers.

Channel 7 - ABC - Message will scroll at the bottom of the screen.

Closing information will also be posted on the following websites:

www.btschools.org – on our district homepage

PLEASE DO NOT CALL SCHOOL PERSONNEL.  Call the School Information Line at Conley School (537-4044, option #2).  Conley and Hoppock School emergency closing announcements will be recorded here.

In the event there is a delayed opening, buses will pick up students two hours later than normal.  For example, if your child is normally picked up at 7:45 am, during a delayed opening pick up time would be 9:45 am.

You will be contacted via the School Messenger alert system by the phone numbers/email addresses that have been imported from Genesis. Parents/Guardians
should keep their contact information up-to-date through the Genesis Parent Portal, however please note that updates you make in Genesis will take 24 hours to update in the School Messenger alert system. Please be sure your child knows what to do and where to go in the event of an early closing.

YMCA After Care Program at Conley School:
The YMCA After Care Program will not be held during school closings.  *Please note: *The YMCA Before care Program is not available this school year. On Emergency Early Dismissal days, the after care program is cancelled.  Parents must inform their children where to go in the event of an early closing.  Parents also need to inform the school office where their child should go in the event of an Emergency Early Dismissal (i.e., neighbor, take the bus home, parent will pick up, etc.).
